This Policy explains what information we process, why we process it, where it may be stored, how you can manage it, and how you can contact us.

If you do not agree with all or part of this Privacy Policy, you should stop using the relevant features. However, this does not affect any processing activities that were carried out based on your authorization before you stopped using the app.

1. Scope of This Policy

4. Where Data Is Stored and How Sync Works

4.1 Local Storage by Default

By default, your diary content, photos, preferences, and other related data are primarily stored locally on your device.

4.2 iCloud Sync

If you voluntarily enable iCloud sync, applicable data may be synced to the Apple iCloud account signed in on your device and may be synchronized across your devices through Apple-provided CloudKit / iCloud capabilities. This sync is optional, and you may decide whether to enable it.

4.3 iCloud Drive Backup and Restore

If you use iCloud Drive backup, restore, or related file features, the relevant backup files may be stored in your own iCloud Drive space.

4.4 Exported Files

When you export a PDF or backup file, the exported file may be stored in a device location you choose or in a file storage location provided by Apple. Once exported, such files are no longer controlled solely within the app, and you are responsible for keeping them secure.

5. What We Do Not Currently Do

Based on the current implementation of the app, we have not identified the following practices:

  • serving third-party advertisements within the app
  • integrating third-party analytics SDKs
  • operating our own server to centrally host your diary content, diary images, or backup contents

If product features change in the future, such as through the addition of analytics, customer support tools, cloud account systems, or other third-party services, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

6. Permissions

To provide relevant features, Morry may request the following system permissions:

  • Photos permission, to let you choose images for diary entries
  • Camera permission, to let you take photos for diary entries
  • Location permission, to generate location text while writing diary entries
  • Notification permission, to send local reminder notifications
  • Face ID / Touch ID, to support biometric verification
  • iCloud permissions and capabilities, to support optional sync, backup, and restore

You can disable these permissions at any time in your device settings. If you do so, the related features may be unavailable or limited, but other features that do not depend on those permissions may continue to function.

7. Membership Purchases and Apple Payments

Morry currently supports membership purchases and restore purchases. These purchase flows are handled through Apple's App Store / StoreKit framework.

In this process:

  • we may read product information, purchase status, subscription status, or restore results returned by Apple so that membership access can be updated inside the app
  • billing, payment processing, refunds, subscription cancellation, and related account management are handled by Apple
  • we do not directly collect or store your full bank card information or payment account passwords

For more information about how Apple handles payment and account information, please refer to Apple's applicable privacy disclosures and terms.

8. Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, except that information may be processed in the following circumstances:

  • when necessary to provide Apple platform capabilities you choose to use, such as App Store payments, CloudKit, iCloud, iCloud Drive, Face ID / Touch ID, local notifications, or system file pickers, in which case relevant information may be processed by Apple or your device system as needed
  • where required by applicable law, regulation, court order, or lawful request from governmental authorities
  • where reasonably necessary to protect the safety, rights, property, or security of us, other users, or the public

9. Data Management, Deletion, and Your Rights

You may manage your data in the following ways:

  • delete diary entries or images within the app
  • turn off system permissions such as location, photos, camera, and notifications
  • disable iCloud sync
  • delete exported PDFs or backup files
  • uninstall the app to remove app data stored locally on your device

Please note:

  • if you have synced data to iCloud or saved files to iCloud Drive, you may also need to remove the corresponding data through Apple's services
  • if you have exported files to local storage or other cloud locations, you are responsible for deleting those files yourself

If you need assistance with privacy-related matters or would like to request help regarding data deletion, you may contact us at morry.app@gmail.com.

10. Data Security

We will use reasonable measures to protect your information and reduce the risk of unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no technical measure can guarantee absolute security.

Based on the current implementation, please note the following:

  • Morry provides an app lock feature that may be used together with Face ID / Touch ID
  • the current version uses the app lock password for local verification and stores it within the app's local data
  • the current version should not be understood as using end-to-end encryption, a dedicated secure credential vault, or an equivalent high-security storage model for the app lock password

For that reason, you should not reuse a highly sensitive password from other important accounts as your app lock password in Morry. We intend to continue improving this security implementation in future versions.

11. Children's Privacy

If you are a minor, please use Morry only after your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to this Privacy Policy. Parents and legal guardians should guide and supervise minors in their use of the app and related services.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time based on product changes, legal or regulatory developments, or operational needs. Updated versions may be presented through in-app pages, product pages, or other reasonable means.

If an update materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide more prominent notice where appropriate.

13. Contact Us

If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy, data deletion, or privacy protection matters, please contact us at:

14. Additional Note

This English Privacy Policy is a formal web version for Morry and is based on the product's current implemented features. If future versions introduce third-party services, account systems, analytics, or other new data processing scenarios, we will revise this Policy accordingly.
